01

Who is responsible

This website is operated by AKOVANA, UAB, registration code 302859437, registered at Didžioji g. 18, LT-01128 Vilnius, Lithuania. For any personal data processed in connection with this website, AKOVANA, UAB is the data controller.

For anything in this policy, write to contact@akovana.com.

02

What this policy covers

This policy covers this website only. The products the company runs or is building, including MyOwnConference, RUA•Watcher, Statusle and OpenMetrica, each have their own terms and their own privacy documentation, and using them is not governed by this page.

03

What this website collects

Nothing that identifies you. The pages are static, so they set no cookies, run no analytics, load no third-party scripts, and contain no forms. Nothing is written to your browser’s storage, and there is no tracking pixel anywhere on the site.

The only way this website leads to us holding your data is if you decide to write to the address published on it.

04

Server records

Like any website, requests reach a server that keeps technical records of them, typically the requesting IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser’s user agent. These records exist to keep the service available and secure, and they are kept for seven days before being rotated away.

The servers are administered by us and stand in a data centre in Germany, so the records stay inside the European Union and are not transferred out of it. The data centre operator acts as a processor under a contract with us, houses the machines and nothing more, and makes no use of these records of its own. Nobody else operates the web layer on our behalf, so the records are not handed to a third-party platform in the ordinary course of serving a page.

05

If you write to us

When you send an email we receive your address, whatever name you sign with, and the contents of the message. We use it to answer you and to carry out any steps you ask for before a contract, and for nothing else. We do not sell it and we do not use it for unrelated marketing.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering correspondence and, where you are asking about work, the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

Correspondence reaches a mail server we run and filter for spam ourselves, so no outside mail provider handles it. Where a message is tracked beyond the mailbox it is tracked in a system we run ourselves, and no outside CRM or helpdesk holds it.

We keep correspondence for as long as the company operates, because an old thread is usually the fastest way to answer a returning question. Ask us to delete yours and we delete it in full, leaving no copy in a backup or an archive and no way for us to bring it back.

06

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our using it, and ask to receive it in a portable form. Write to contact@akovana.com and we will answer within the period the regulation allows.

If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may complain to the State Data Protection Inspectorate of the Republic of Lithuania, Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija.

07

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be described rather than quietly applied.
